Author: Goldberg, Harriet
Abstract: The fifteenth-century Spanish translator of Boccaccio's De claris mulieribus enjoyed the advantage of being able to explain exactly what he understood the meaning of the original to be, a privilege rarely afforded to a twentieth-century translator.
